We act as the data controller for your personal data when you use Recrusr as a candidate.

What we collect

When you use Recrusr, we collect:

• Account information — your name, email address, and a secure password
• Your CV and profile — the document you upload and the information it contains
• AI-generated profile data — structured data our AI creates from your CV to help match you with roles
• Technical information — automatically collected when you use the Service (IP address, device, usage logs)

We don't ask for sensitive personal data, but your CV may contain some (e.g. religion, ethnicity, health). We rely on your explicit consent at the moment you upload your CV to process that part of your data.

Why we use it

We process your data to:

• Provide and operate the Recrusr Service
• Match your profile with employer clients looking for candidates
• Communicate with you about your account
• Improve the Service using aggregated, anonymised data
• Keep the Platform secure
• Meet our legal obligations

On what basis (GDPR)

• Contract — most processing is necessary to deliver the Service you signed up for
• Consent — for special-category data in your CV, sharing your raw CV with a specific employer, and optional marketing emails
• Legitimate interests — for security, fraud prevention, and improvement using anonymised data
• Legal obligation — for tax, regulator requests, and similar duties

Who we share it with

We share your data only with:

• Sub-processors that help us run the Service (such as AI inference and cloud hosting providers). They handle your data only on our written instructions, under data-processing agreements that meet GDPR requirements.
• Employer clients will see your profile when it matches their needs, and according to your visibility settings. We share your raw CV with a specific employer only with your explicit consent.

We do not sell your personal data.

AI and human review

We use AI to read your CV, build your profile, and match you to roles. Final hiring decisions are made by employer clients — humans, not our AI.

You can ask us to:

• Explain how an AI-generated outcome works
• Have a human review the outcome
• Tell us your point of view
• Contest the outcome

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access your data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your data
• Limit or object to certain processing
• Receive your data in a portable format
• Withdraw any consent you've given

To exercise any of these, email hello@recrusr.com. We'll respond within 30 days.

Data outside the EU

Some of our service providers operate from outside the European Economic Area (for example, in the United States). When data is transferred outside the EEA, we use European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses and additional safeguards to protect it.

How long we keep your data

We retain your personal data only as long as we need it to provide the Service and to meet our legal obligations.

If you delete your account or ask us to erase your data, we will remove or anonymise your personal data within 30 days of your request.

We may retain anonymised analytics, backups during normal rotation cycles, and limited records of consent to demonstrate compliance with applicable law.

Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. These include encryption of data in transit and at rest, restricting access on a need-to-know basis, and collecting only the data we need to operate the Service.

If a personal data breach poses a risk to your rights, we will notify the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours and inform affected individuals without undue delay, as required by GDPR.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to run the Platform (sign-in, session management). If we ever add non-essential cookies, we'll ask first.

Minimum age

You must be at least 16 to use Recrusr.

Changes to this notice

If we change anything material, we'll let you know by email and through the Platform at least 30 days before the change takes effect. You'll have a chance to close your account at no cost if you don't agree.
